I am wondering if I'm testing my input voltage wrong at the amp. How do I do it for a subwoofer amp? Bass knob turned all the way up.. Volt meter on rca on amp.. Test tone of what playing like 40 hz???? That is how I'm doing it. I set my gains with 40hz test tone with my scope. I'm confused. Or do I use like a 1000hz test tone to set the input for the amp?

Power wire comes loose and dead shorts, you're lucky you had fusing on there. You're trying ridiculous things without the gear to back it, you're blaming the amp and there is no question that everything you're experiencing is all user error and you're going to end up burning your vehicle to the ground if you don't knock it off and be smart.
