Reccomended batteries for my system?

Recommended Posts

So I currently have 2 soundstream SPLX-122HF 12" 2 OHM DVC 1000W RMS subs. Im hooking up a SPL GLA1-6000D. 2500W @ 2 OHM load. Until I get a amp that is stable at 0.5 OHM load. I currently have stock alternator 80 amp output. 1AWG welding cable Pure copper OFC.( Good about 250 Amps ) Did the big 3 with it ( besides the alternator ) and ran back to trunk. So im wondering what everyone recommends for extra batteries until I upgrade the alternator. My friend is telling me I need 3 blockshaker 12V 80 AH (1800W) batteries? This seems overkills to me? What do you guys think?

2 d3100s? hes probably only getting maybe 1k out of that amp

LOL im retarded. nevermind.

180 amps of fusing = like a MAX output of 1800rms at 1 ohm. 2 ohm, like 1000w. you shouldn't even need any batteries for that amount of power.

2 seems like overkill and having more power then less I know is always better but idk that's why I am here asking. That d3100 battery is a beast it looks like. I will eventually be going to a Soundstream amp TA1.3000D. 3000W @ 0.5 ohm load.

you wont need, or see any where near what you thing..

Plug that into a stock elc system and let er wang till your coils burn up.

that amp will not give you more than 1500w or so at 1 ohm [5 30a fuses]. So at 2, maybe 1000... maybe.

Run that shit off stock electrical. You dont need any battery bank for 1000w.

and if you want real power, go with something proven. The soundstream 3000 will not give you 3000w either, even at .5. Get a crescendo bc2000 or something and run that at 1 ohm.
