SUNDOWN X-12 DISPLACEMENT!!

Recommended Posts

Using caps lock and exclamation points doesn't get you a faster response.

Vd (displacement) = Sd x Xmax.

Vd = 457cm2 x 30mm

Edit:

I got those specs from CarStereoGiant's product page. They're a Sundown Authorized Internet Dealer.

If you are looking for how much space it takes up in the box, calculated from the dimensions they list on their site I came up with .222 cu ft.

The x-18 is only like .18. Searching the forum and came up with .12 for the x-12.

I question both those numbers. Sundown lists a E-12 as taking up .12 and a SA-12 as taking up .14 cu ft. The X series is a much beefier driver so it has to be a good bit more than either of those.

Check the driver displacement for the Z.v3 12 :).

I did, the funny thing about the Z .v3's is despite its higher power handling, its actually a physically smaller driver than the X-series. Its outside diameter is 3/8" less and its mounting depth is 7/8" less than the X-12. I'm sure it does displace less than the X-Series.

Dude2800 you are totally right, it would be a lot easier if Sundown just gave us the displacement. I don't know why they don't. It would also be nice if they gave us a picture will all the physical specs on it for the Z .v3 like they do with some of their other drivers.
