Can someone make sure this is right

Recommended Posts

Ok so i ordered a Mechman 170amp alt and 1 XS power 5100 to replace the stock components.here is a drawing of what i intend on running.

electrical_zpsf4442141.jpg

All wire is Bullzaudio 1/0

The fuse between my alt and batt is 250A

front and rear fuse are 250A

fuse for sub amp is 200A

fuse for 4chan is 25A

Equipment-

1-1.2000D MB Quart Onx series@1ohm

1-Alpine Mrp-f240@4ohm

I do intend on getting a 2nd XS for the rear but its gonna happen for a month or 2,and with having a stock Bosch batt up front ive read that mixing them would have bad results for 1 or both of the battery's which is why i chose to replace the front 1st.Thanks for the help in advance!

IMO you have the right idea but 4 fuses in the run going to the back. I would check to make sure that you don't have any voltage drop at the amplifiers and add another battery asap

as in redoing the factory wires from batt to starter/alt/fuse box? Or adding the 1/0 + and - from mechman alt to my d51?<doing this ..didnt think i needed to replace the others

fusing alt to battery is pointless if not removing factory wiring. i don't understand why people do this. agreed with earlier post, you have too many fuses.

if nothing changes, nothing changes

You don't know what you don't know, till you don't know

please tell me you are removing all stock wiring

actually, it is easier to leave stock wiring, and add on top of it. Leaving stock wiring doesnt hurt anything.

edit: electricity will take the path of least resistance, so having the stock wiring along side upgraded added on 1/0 wiring wont hurt anything, and in reality, it helps ever so slightly (to the point of being negligible).
