Help with 1st 4th order build, ports firing through rear deck

Recommended Posts

Yeah port area but I think finding a compromise would be best. One thing you can do to help is use common port walls, takes less space, which lowers tuning, which means you have to shorten your port to raise the tuning back up. You can use aeros and have common port walls though

Gotta port through the rear deck, I would assume a slot port would be difficult.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

If I were to find a 5" aeroports they would definitely fit through the 6x9 hole and the port area would go up to approximately 40 inches squared but the port would have to be 20" long. Do you guys think that's a better route vs the 4" aeroport?

40 inches is more than enough port.... tune to 48.... no lower you won't need to get the results you want

1 cube sealed 2 ported

20" of port per ported cube.... you don't need more than that. It's not a spl vehicle

make this easy for him not confusing as all out hell

I would like to thank everyone for helping me out! I am just trying to avoid paying for a design. It's just tough bec at the same time I can't afford to put in the time of trial and error due to both time and money. Thanks again everybody!

Now I gotta find out where I can get 5" PVC.
