Bump4life Posted August 15, 2014 Report Share Posted August 15, 2014 I am considering using that dashCommand app. I was just about to purchase it until I saw you have to have something to plug into the OBD port. Which one did you use? and where on earth do you find one that can communicate with an iPhone? by the way, dash looks fucking spectacular! Thank you sir!!! I am using a Go Point Technology dongle called a BT1 which is no longer made, it connects via bluetooth to the Iphone/Ipad. Now before I was able to locate a BT1 from a buddy of mine, I got on ebay and got a wifi dongle, it works just as well but does have a slight delay. The Bluetooth one I have now is so fast I can't tell a lag between it and my factory cluster when it did work. So search wifi OBD2 on ebay or if you are lucky enough to find a BT1 My plan is to keep the wifi one and use it as a backup incase the BT1 fails. Also ScanTool is coming out with a new and improved one soon in the next few months, that has sleep mode and faster wifi, supposedly as fast as bluetooth so they claim.
