^Mouser electronics sells them. They are a Maxwell product as well if I remember correctly....and yeah Chris is the man for caps haha

Do you have a link to them I can't find them

here is what i found.

here is a kit that contains the active balancing chips, buss bars and hardware to assemble a bank of 6: BKIT-MCINT Maxwell Technologies | Mouser

also, if anybody is having trouble locating "CapKing", i found the caps here: BCAP3000 P270 K04 Maxwell Technologies | Mouser

video of these things in action. is ur voltage much more stabilized now? does voltage even move lol?

I put a video up on my facebook page a few days ago, and voltage ONLY moves if I play below 35 hz and clipped at idle, I can make it drop a few tenths from 14.8 V

Just 14 volt right now until I isolate the starting battery. That is right, ONLY 1 battery in the truck now for 30+kW power ;)

Is battery isolation mandatory when building a bank of this type? If so, at what size does the cap bank need to reach before it is needed? Thanks in advance for any help/info!

Was amazed when i saw this beast! Some bad ass mad-scientist shit! LOVE IT!

He isolated battery because it runs all the 12v gear (like regular truck electronics) and is used for starting
So the alternator charges the battery normally (set at low voltage), then he can disconnect the battery and ramp alternator charging voltage to the cap bank to 17.0v, and let mass ear raping ensue
