Even had one guy say "it doesn't work on my amp because it isn't in sync with my other distortion detector. I think it's broke". Turns out his "other distortion detector" was a clip light on his bass knob. I have heard all sorts of stories...Whatever, send it back. Never ceases to amaze me how people will quickly blame a product and then talk shit about it when it's really user error along with the fact that they didn't take the 5mins to read and follow a very simple manual.
