alaskanzx5
Do some research and planning for a change. know one can tell you anything about your setup with out seeing it. most of the time an amp getting hot is due to placement. A small confined place will create more heat build up. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. dionysus
If you are going to run fans to cool your amps then you HAVE to run them in PAIRS if you want to he effective. You have to have 1 fan pushing and 1 fan pulling air to actually cool anything. Just a fan blowing on your amp won't do $h!t, it just blows a lil air not CIRCULATES air! You HAVE to have air circulating to keep it cool. When you push/pull you circulate air so the hot air gets pulled out as cool air pushes in, its a cycle, its "flushes" the air Build log link, (Slow Build) http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183469-dionysuss-02-eddie-bauer-explorer-slow-budget-build-sundown-4-chan-guts-pg-4/ Team AB son! rockFord_Expedition
Push pull configuration in a sealed environment (other than the openings for the fans of course) How low do you have that thing wired? As said above, if it was installed correctly and has adequate electrical to begin with, there should be no problem keeping it within an acceptable temperature range. The metal on amps is supposed to act as a heat sing, they absorb heat from the internals. What do you mean by "messing up" when it gets hot? Kyblack76
No if that amp is getting OVERLY hot, then you have a voltage or impedance problem. SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold

rTisTik
Have you figured out all the other problems you have started threads about with your mids and highs? Or is this just another shot in the dark with no troubleshooting or research to fix those same problems?
