Help/Suggestions on Wiring

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm taking on the task of installing a HDC3.118 in my corolla in a 6 cubic foot box.

So here is the wiring I will be installing (critique as you feel necessary)

  • Knu 0AWG from battery to second XS power
  • NVX battery isolator
  • 4AWG going off XS to Q4-120 and Q1-2200
  • Fuse for 0AWG then another fuse for each 4AWG power wire (if I remember correctly the fuses are 250A and 150A)
  • Either 8AWG or 10AWG speaker wire (the sub has 10AWG direct leads)
  • To amps running coaxial RCAs (I was told Soundqubed uses single input not differential)
Problems I can see arising:
  • The box takes up most of my trunk, I will have very little room for amp and battery (amps may have to end up being outside the trunk *thoughts on this?*)
  • If you can think of any other problems please tell me
So what I'm asking for:
  • General critique over everything above.
  • Is there anything major I should avoid doing in order to ensure safety and functionality?
  • Do you guys have any tricks to keep this build clean and easier to work with?
