I dropped a battery once along time on concrete it discharged and was a mess.

Snow may have already answered that.

I have a very scientific answer.

If you leave a battery, on a piece of cement,..... in time, it will loose draw.

Let me know if you need any more info

Battery won't discharge, but I have proven it will cause creative use and combinations of profanity if you happen to accidentally kick that sneaky bastard.

Concrete.... cement is an ingredient in concrete.
