Noob test: How many of you think a modern battery can be discharged from sitting on concrete?

Recommended Posts

I've seen regular car batteries drain from concrete, but nothing like optima or xs power.

nope.

you have probably seen regular batteries drain from being a bad battery....and time catching up with it. But the concrete didn't have anything to do with it.

I've seen batteries drain from sitting. Regardless of material, regardless of brand. It happens

Had a guy I was buying an XP3000 and 2000 from locally few months back get mad at me when I set the XP3000 on the ground to grab the cash out of my pocket. He was freaking out thinking that I was going to blame him for a bad batt after I killed it by setting it on the ground or something lol

i just dealt with this about a month ago, bought a car, it needed a battery and alt. I brought those over and set the battery on the floor. The guy was like "dont set that..." i didnt even let him finish cause i knew where it was going and didn't want to argue. I just set it in the car and said, "gotta run, see ya!"

SlamminBeats will never forget when somebody went out of their way to message him on Facebook about having a battery on concrete.

He will forget that he already posted that in this thread though...
