HELP!! Pioneer pico fuse identification

Recommended Posts

The model # is avh-p4200dvd. I'm pretty sure I've located them but I'm a little confused because there's two sets of them and I want to be 100% positive before I do anything.

I found this on the back of the board

This is getting frustrating! In every picture I've found of pico fuses in pioneer decks the fuse is clearly labeled fuXXX on the board. I've stared at this board until I went cross-eyed and I can't find anything like that anywhere.

An RCA protection fuse "should" be located very close to the RCA jacks themselves.

You wouldn't want a protection fuse across the board if you have dangerous energy spikes flowing into the board.

That was my same train of thought but I've scoured the board near the rca inputs and I can't find anything resembling what I know a pico fuse to look like.

Here's what I've been going by-

  • 2 years later...

I am in th he same boat, but this is what I found so far and I haven't tried soldering yet.

I think pioneer has changed the type of fuse used so all the pico pics are outdated.

The rca pineout on my pioneer avh-4200nex, is in the middle of the board, because they send the front and rear rca out on cables from the back of the unit versuse being solderd on thhe board. Hiwever my sub rca are hard wired on the right, with front and rear rca on th e left of the board (fuckin weird engineering).

Attached is a pic of my board.

I think the fuse for the sub is on the right "F075" this would also explain the "fo75" right at the ground wire pineout for rca coming out the white plug

But I'm guesstimating based on a little bit of hardware knowledge and research
