Ever wire a 1 ohm stable amp to 0.5 ohm?

I wired a 1 ohm stable to .25

So far It sounds like most of the people who had a decent amp and the proper electrical and tuned HU and amp correctly had no issues, even some going lower then 0.5.

hifonics brutus 1700.1, if I had the electrical for it might have been ok but every time the voltage dropped the amp cut off.

What voltage did it go into protect? Did you have a digital volt meter on it?

I had a stinger meter and the gauge in the car. The stinger was showing low 12's but the car's meter was barely above the 9 to the point the car would start riding hard and want to cut off

Sounds like the amp was starving for more power, im sure if you had the proper electrical you would of had better results im guessing. That's odd though the Stinger volt meter That was reading back at the amp had a higher voltage reading then the cars meter. I imagine the cars meter was reading more up closer to the battery under the hood. I would think your cars meter should of read higher voltage then the stinger meter.... odd

i wired my 2 channel BOSS amp [bridged] at 0.5 ohms. From normal room temp to hotter than the underside of the devils ballsack in 0.25 seconds.

Lol this one doesn't surprise me its Boss and its a 2 ch running at 0.5 ohm. I would be surprised if that amp was even 2 ohm stable.

Sounds like more then enough power for that amp to soak up. I think if I ever do it I will have the power to back it up

I wouldn't run the audiopipe apcl that low but the apk is a good amp i don't care what you say doing 152.5 with easy.
