Steve, maybe a tapered t-line?

no. Remember. Space is an issue and it's STILL open air.

Exactly, you need to excite the largest volume of air you can to "get" the bass. Its why horns and t-lines work great in huge areas, they are the most effective vs standard ported enclosures for "exciting" the air volume in front of the enclosure. Port directionality could be used to reinforce the bass as well (fire ports towards floor/footwells so output reflects back upwards to riders).

You could put a door on the t-line so you can put stuff in it still lol :)

Or just try building a t-line that fits in the space you have available but still loading it with both drivers. It really just means you have more electromotive force and diaphragm area to utilize the available output vs what a single driver would give you in that same t-line. They are surprisingly flexible..

MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..."

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

Hammerdown... 1%

How about a horn? Foster built a single p2 10 horn the sounded waaaaay louder with the hatchback open than closed. Maybe it would get the dB's your looking for?

No. Please read the above comments. No T-line, no horn, no double folded horn. 4th order bandpass is what i am doing and no plans on completely starting over. Especially for a box that will be too big (horn) and won't sound any better (still wide open air).

I got this. Thanks. :)

Exactly

I always say, this is SteveMeadedesigns.com. Not givestevemeadedesigns.com haha

Pretty awesome that you picked up 2 more I beams tho. I would love to check those out in person. Seems like what I want for my off-road rigs where a box isn't easy.

Does that mean you will add another amp? One each for a pair of I beams and one for subs?

Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. I build for Smiles Per Gallon not Miles Per Gallon LOLZ
