Polaris RZR-4 900 Turbo - Sound system and Mods - Update: New Seats!! Rockford Fosgate I-Beam Bracket Fabbed Pg. 30

Recommended Posts

drilled a hole in the seat bar and ran the wire down through it down to the bottom and put some removable connectors on both sides. This way i can still take the seats out and not have to cut the wire every time :D I would have done a molex plug but it's only 2 speaker wires on each side. Not enough to warrant a 9 pin molex :D

BONUS PICS - i tossed the new SMD v2 on the back just to see what it would look like back there. The RZR is getting 2 Rockford Fosgate P2 10's so don't get all excited, i am NOT putting this in there. This is just for fun :D

this video is 5 years old...i have had one of the I-beams for the entire time and wasn't sure what to do with it...because i wanted at least 2 of them. Well about 6 months ago i scored a 2nd one some how (they are discontinued). Now that i got the RZR a light bulb went off in my head and i was like "cheeea!". :D See i know it's going to be hard to get GOOD bass into the cabin being so wide open, so these are not only fun but will be functional too :D

check out this old teeth rattling video from back in the day (to understand the ibeams a little better)

Honestly the T3's look better than the T5's. Can't wait to see what else is planned for this thing.

i like them both in their own ways but there is no denying which one sounds better :D

I do have a question....how come you didn't go with a marine type speakers for the RZR? Wouldn't those take the abuse better?

because it isn't a boat. :)

Good point

Man that IBeam is a pretty cool add on..like you said perfect for open cab...got feel that bump!

Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are!

I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating!

My build log: 10k center console with 4 DC Audio XL 10's powered by 2 DC Audio 5.0k amps 5 xs batteries and dual DC Power 300xps alts

That being said you ever think of doing a boat? That would be epic! Then after that you need to do a system in a plane, and then after that a submarine, the possibilities are endless!!!! I guess you are pretty busy with other projects already though ^_^

Awesome build as always. One question I always have on your builds (well this one and the Lexus) is how do you attach the fiberglass molds to the footwell so they don't move on turns/brake/acceleration? Are they just so well molded that the general shape holds them in place?

Most quality speakers are marine grade by their very nature. Just means that their fronts are water resistant for the most part. Most automotive speakers in doors will see more water (on the backs) than any boat speaker.

Considering he won't be driving underwater, there is no real concern. The fronts will be fine, and the back won't really get wet

Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. I build for Smiles Per Gallon not Miles Per Gallon LOLZ
