Polaris RZR-4 900 Turbo - Sound system and Mods - Update: New Seats!! Rockford Fosgate I-Beam Bracket Fabbed Pg. 30

Most quality speakers are marine grade by their very nature. Just means that their fronts are water resistant for the most part. Most automotive speakers in doors will see more water (on the backs) than any boat speaker.

Considering he won't be driving underwater, there is no real concern. The fronts will be fine, and the back won't really get wet

plus i have a roof on it.......plus i just ordered my doors...plus i just ordered a 2 piece windshield :).

How do you clean the inside?

I have been blowing the dust and dirt out with an air hose and or blower.....and then spraying the floors, wiping the seats. I just got my doors on so they will get even less dirty now :D

What it's like to be on the Hill. It's way legit. There's a ride or a seat for everyone when we smash out to the hills.

Fast forward to Tuesday:

Ok here we go with the box. The plan is a 3 chamber, 6th order bandpass. 3, 3" Ports in the center chamber (subject to change after i determine exact final box volume) and a single 4" port in each of the side chambers. It has a nice response curve, i hope it sounds as good as it looks on paper. Ill share more details on the box once i know it sounds right. I plan on porting UNDER the railing and right behind each seat on the 4" ports and in between the seats on the 3" ports. Im doing all i can to get bass in an open air environment while protecting the subs (with the BP design). I need every single square inch of volume i can get so i am not using aeroports. I am using ABS tubes with a nice clean round over on the outside.

**NOTE: Due to the crazy shapes this bed is made of, some of my work looks rough. I had to make some changes along the way and a LOT of this is freestyle off the top of my head (with the exception of box volume). I am planning on making the top part a usable bed to hold items. I plan on glassing it to where it comes down the sides at an angle and looks natural. I will still be able to use my tie downs too! Also, this box will be EASILY removable for access to the hatch below (for engine work).

When it's done it will be a combo of bed liner for durability and whatever else i come up with to make it look good.

Now for the pics.

I ended up cutting these a lot shorter then this.

So i worked all day and then my doors showed up. HMMMMM, go home or put them on? Yup, i couldn't help myself. I got PRP Doors, they are amazingly sick!!! The latches are incredible...smooth as butter. Took me 2 hours 15 min to put on. 2 Hours to do the driver side, 15 minutes to do the passenger side. No thanks to the worlds shittiest instructions. LOL. But the quality of this product is great so i quickly got over it!

As if building a 3 chamber 6th order bandpass in a crazy shaped box isn't a pain in the ass enough, you have to remember, being a BP box you have to make an access panel. So now i have to make part of this removable....uhhhgggg. Maybe ill put a plexi window here. Time to frame it out.

Also, the side walls of the bed will be taped over and then glassed in so i can take advantage of every little bit of air space i can. You will see. Tomorrow is glass day!

IMG_2092_zpsbb8fd9f8.jpg

Even though it is just a 10 degree difference, it's still so much nicer if you actually make the cut.

IMG_2099_zps790317f6.jpg

IMG_2103_zpsc4796673.jpg

Again, the back sides of each of the side chambers (where you see the ABS plastic) this will be taped off and then glassed in. That's tomorrow.

IMG_2104_zps0f445872.jpg

Those ports arent going in THAT exact spot...i know it's too high. I was just doodling and checking for space when i drew those on. They will be dropped about 3-4" down from what you see here.

IMG_2108_zps8e189949.jpg

IMG_2109_zps6c0a453e.jpg

IMG_2111_zps994bdc82.jpg

I know it's UGLY but let me get my shit handled, it will look good once i get to the "make it look good" stage. Most of this is freestyle so it's just me experimenting and doing what i can to make it happen.

IMG_2116_zpsffa636ff.jpg

IMG_2119_zps56b8368d.jpg

The ports should be nice and loud coming up under this bar. I am going to seal it off too it so hopefully it will help channel that bass into the vehicle some.
