Sergeant_Skyrim
Hey guys, looking to use some thread in my wall but the thickest I could find was Lowes and was only 3/4" thick. The biggest length I'll need is about 52 inches long and with the 3/4 I was able to bend it very easily without trying on a 6 foot section (even held it more towards the middle and did this). I was trying to find maybe 1" but not too sure where to look and couldn't find any related threads. Thanks for reading! Build in progress

never knows best
stronger, less flexible, larger mounting area... whats not to like?
n8ball2013
Stronger is debateable. Mounting area depends on how its done. you also only secure the baffle on the inner walls by screwing it in. Where as threaded rod and large washers hokd both sides of the baffle. If you have flex you can still pull out the screws securing your brace to the panel. The only thing I like abiut that is that nothing is exposed and in a design where you have low baffle space it might give you more strength. never knows best
per weight the threaded rod will be much weaker with the forces being applied as they are... also, if you were to take full advantage of the flanged mounting you would mount a plate to the other side and bolt through that... n8ball2013
How many peopke do you see actually plate the flange though? In that case id agree that the pipe and flange would be stronger but you never realy see it done like that THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. Jessica
if you put tension on the 3/4" it should be good enough, but your baffle should be almost strong enough on its own to begin with. Of course you might try Fastenal.com they may have 1" all thread Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside.
