kingsuv
I have the Alpine 701 and I have one set to the tweets set to the mids / high BP and set to the mids / low BP then a run to the sub and a run to the center CH. I've had mine for about 6 months now And I mess with it all the time, for hours on end. I think I got it to sound decent, but I know I have a long way to go with it. Sheet rock screw to the dashboard! damn Zapco boards   Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Guest Nismofreak
also, these door speakers that your gonna tune........did you ever finish them? I dont remember seeing finished doors, just very raw fiberglass....any changes?yah. I finished the back and front left door. The right one is almost done just need to wrap the doors. I fixed the mounting rings and sealed everything up just to help with the bass. I aimed the tweets differently: one in the a pillar and one close to the mids. audiofanaticz
Right now I got my subs tunned at 90 and sound perfect. Do the subs and mids use the same crossover or different with this processor? even 90hz is still way to high, and so is 80, and I almost think crossing them over at 75 is kinda point less, unless you are burping, but even still with a box tuned for 40-50 hz you aint gonna get decent numbers at 70+ hz... This why i said you need 2 360.2s if your gonna run a 3 way comp. I dont see it being really worth it if running 2 way... You couldnt even get a eq to benifet your stereo, but yet your gonna go active, running active is a hard thing to do.. and going for sq is even harder since you need a flat response.. And yes, real sq competitors run a 3 way active front/rear stage, why? becuase you can push more power with it being cleaner, but you better have the time to do go thourgh settings. I personally like the alpine 701 processor because you can run midrange, midbass, tweet, and sub from one unit, and have custom presets tuned in for different classes you compete with. Ive messed with both units, the rf in a friends car, and the alpine unit at my friends shop. I tend to take the word from my friend that owns his shop becuase he has multiple first place sq and spl trophies, not to mention he has been doing this for so long. 20+years. Both units will get the job done, but each have their pros and cons. Nismo, you said your gonna run 1 amp? So im assuming its a 4 channel? So if you bridge 2 channels for the tweets, and bridge 2 channels for the mids, your 4 channel amp will be running 2 channels. IE your mids will be running off one channel, and your tweets will be running off another channel. As you stated twice... With that you will be running MONO mids, and MONO tweets... WHICH WILL LOSE IN ANY SQ COMPETITION YOU ENTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
