A friend of mine I am doing an install for a SA-15 keeps mentioning how he was hitting 40's with his single SA-15 on 1000wrms.I just kept saying okay and shrugging it off. He sent me this video today saying this is how loud he wants his. The guy doesnt mention where the mic is in the video but i was just wondering what yall thought.

In a car like that you can literally fart a 150. On 10K with a box designed to ONLY play one note that seems like a legit number.

Playing 140dB with musical tuning isn't unreasonable with 500W and a single 15 if your vehicle is somewhat friendly to getting loud.

No reason to think those numbers are fake. Fart box, 10x rated to sub and a cheater car, nothing to it. 140 is a relatively simple goal on low power, depending on the car. My brother does a 143 on a single hdc3 12 on 2k in his civic hatch tuned at 33hz.

Several systems, several vehicles. Always changing!

That is Ric and the Boswell's car.

Sensor was in the kick panel for that run.

Numbers are legit. But That is on the high side for most people.

Took a few years for him to get the car and box just right to get those numbers.

If your friend wants numbers like that, he will need to do tons of work trying all types of different enclosures, woofers, amps, batts, etc... to find the right combo.

I'd say he would need at least 6000W, a big woofer designed for high numbers, the right vehicle to start with. Proper deadening, proper enclosure, good batteries.

He putting the 15 in a 02 civic lx on 1000wrms. Only reason I said "fake" was I didn't know if the sensor was in the port hence the " ".

@HHR that what I was wonder where he put the mic. That's one hell of a box to post up those #'s.

I know the guy is gonna want to have the same sounding box and #'s haha
