snafu
Did you notice that the booster cables available nowadays SUCK? CCA HAS NO PLACE IN BOOSTER CABLES! Well, check these bad boys out. We're going to name this category "Booster Cables that Don't Suck" - no kidding. Shown here is the prototype set - 12 foot 2 AWG. These are made from our 2,989 strand 2 AWG cable which is 100% Oxygen Free Copper and tinned to prevent corrosion resistance. The booster clips have pure copper jaws that really grab on. Finally, the cables are protected with braided tubing. The 2 AWG cables are rated conservatively at 400A. [i've seen CCA ones rated at 500A - yeah, OK . . good luck with that!] We intend to offer 2 AWG Cables in 12 foot, 16 foot, and 20 foot lengths. We also intend to offer 1/0 AWG Cables in the same lengths with 800 Amp booster clips! [They'll be conservatively rated at 600 Amps.] Finally, we'll offer all cables with a 4 foot break-away pigtail so that you can hard wire them directly to your battery, mount the break-away under the front bumper, and plug the cables in without even lifting the hood. Retail pricing isn't quite done yet but you'll be able to buy the 12 foot 2 AWG set shown here for $129.95 - which is a heck of a deal considering the lack of quality cables currently available in the marketplace. Who wants a set of Booster Cable that Don't Suck? Don't forget, SMD Members get 10% off! 7 Quote Tony Candela - SMD Sales & Marketing Email me at [email protected] to learn about becoming an SMD Partner! MrBigs63'
Been waiting for this idea forever, and I have done the same thing on my truck where you open the toolbox and plug the cables in there.
 125 616
n1ghtsn1p3r
I'm guessing they're also easier to handle since regular jumper cables tend to be stiff as hell? snafu
I knew you guys would like those - check these bad boys out! This is a set of our service style 2 AWG Cables - an SMD Member already ordered the very first set and I shipped them Saturday. The service sets include a 4 foot long pigtail to connect to battery and you can mount the break-away under the bumper. That way, you can give a jump without even popping the hood! The 16 foot set (4 foot pigtail and 12 foot booster cables) runs $194.95 before the 10% SMD Member Discount. We don't screw around with terminations. Tinned copper eyelet is bolted to the copper tooth with a zinc plated internal / external star washer in-between for maximum current transfer. In addition, we insulate all terminations with adhesive lined heat shrink so that the terminations wont break down over time. The tin plated copper pins in the break-aways have over an inch of crimp area and are then insulated with adhesive lined heat shrink to keep them from breaking down over time. For you car audio guys, you can also use the break-away as a simple way to connect a 12 Volt power supply to your vehicle should you want to demo it at a show and not run the batteries down, etc. I will have an optional pigtail available for that. 2 Quote Tony Candela - SMD Sales & Marketing Email me at [email protected] to learn about becoming an SMD Partner! Weigel21
Those are some hellacious jumper cables. Not really in the need of new ones, but if I were and had the cash, I'd be on board.
