I'm new to the site the equipment i have is a pioneer deh-5900ib an the amp is a arc audio ks 125.4 an for the speaker i have are 2 jl audio marine 6.5 mx650-ccx in the front an for the rear i have 2 jl audio marine 7.7 mx770-ccx i just replaced the radio it was a deh-p4900ib in which i used to dd-1 to set the gain on the amp i found the distortion at 48 so 47 in the sweet spot now when i try to find the distortion on the deh-p5900ib there is none i turn the radio all the way up to 60 slow i get a signal an a 40hz light but no distortion at 60 i did the same setup on this radio as i did on the deh-p4900ib please help what i'm i doing wrong i followed the same step for the p4900ib thx i know it been ask alot .

Just went through this same situation on a newly installed Kenwood Excelon KDC-X997. Volume maxed out, no distortion on the subwoofer out. Cranked the subwoofer output from 0 (range is -15 to +15) to max, and managed to max out the amp.

Just goes to show every head unit is different.
