Before I got the 750 installed today, the subs running off the 500amp were slamming. With the new amp installed I thought they would sound noticeably louder but they actually sounded lower. All gains set with DD1. When I read the battery with car and audio on the batttery read at 13.4 but as soon as i raise the volume to normal listening volume the voltage drops to 12.1-2. Also the headlights barely flicker..you have to look really hard to notice but then again my lights are HIDs. My car battery is about 3 years old which I know is cutting close to needing to be changed. My immediate plan of action was to purchase a Yellow Top optima for car battery. Is this the best option or should I keep the car battery there and wire the yellowtop in the trunk with the amp? Is this what the problem is or could it be something else?? Robert8252
Big 3 alone can gain a decent increase and should be done in any car audio setup for best results. You could have 10 batteries and two alternators but if your wire can't get the power to the amp fast enough it won't matter. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
Miguels
ive always had bad luck with yellow top and seen many have same issues... for the price you could have gotten a deka to save or a xs d3400 my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
poorfish88
Yellow top was a bad pick, but at least it's a AGM batt. Hope you have good luck with it there quality has gone way down. The big 3 is a must upgrade, when you start to have voltage drop.
