Does anyone care about a daily GP'er anymore?

Recommended Posts

If only I was rich enough to have a "daily" I have one car and I just build for fun and the love of bass. My 10 hours driving a week just to work and back would suck without it.

I do like to get metered just to see what it will do. But that's not my main concern as my builds are small budget builds.

Another reason I won't daily mine is I'm not gonna leave it in a parking lot with over $10k worth of gear in it, that's another reason I'm gonna end up doing a blower through in the gmc, no one will be able to tell it has a system at all.

Well I put 50'000 miles on my walled Sierra with 4 18's. Hauled shit, drove the hell out of it lol. Definitely got strange looks when I went through the drive throughs lol. With my new build, 8 18's and 32k, I play on driving it daily aswell. I can't stand trailer queens unless it's world finals. They have their place but I like drawing a crowd.

Kyle, I feel ya man. I'm building mine for me, period. It turns out, I don't drive around daily with a meter in my passenger seat, giving dirty looks at me. You built yours for smiles, you built up electrical, I'm doing the same. Mine will be just about as stout yours and I'll have a relationship with the charger nightly, hence the access plug in my battery box.

Where I'll be loud will be fun. Fuck 60 Hz and a burp. I wish they'd bring the formats here for Chaos, etc. The heat is a major factor for that style of run and is maybe the reason we haven't had the interest in pounding our gear when it's 115° out. I'd still fucking do it though, because I don't give a shit if my amp goes into protect, it'll come out.

In conclusion, do your thing man, it's really nice to see you doing EVERYTHING on your build with the help of wife and dog. You have a great build with great hear and you know every INCH of your ride and why something is where it is. Respect bruh

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Meter is cool and all, helps compare two different vehicles. Purpose built demo vehicles are impressive. Personally, I'm more excited to see a rig that's driven. It takes more work, and more care in design/wire routing/durability to drive a highly modified vehicle even a few times a week and make it reliable.

I used to drive a Mazda Miata to work and school every day that was also my autocross and track day car. I found every single thing on that car that the PO had modified (like the janky security system) that was a weak point in reliability, and had to sort it out. When you drive your rig every day, things like that wire flopping around without a zip tie or any abrasion resistance will cause a problem eventually.

Lotta people hating on burp cars here...

Last I checked those take lots of time and energy as well.

To each their own I guess... just have some respect

I'm not hating I definitely appreciate all the hard work that goes into to it but for me personally I would never build one. Every ones got their cup of tea.

No hate Nikitaaa. I respect all aspects of building. Seems like its not returned at times.

No you're not alone. My truck isn't a daily but it will probably never hit a meter and it's not played with the windows up either. It's meant to cruise and bang

;)

Kyle, what is the point of this thread? Where is this coming from? Your setup is badass, is a groundpounder, and is done RIGHT (multi-alts over huge bank).

Fuck competing and the meter, I know you and I know you go to shows to hang out, so do that. Demo all day, have fun. Get on the meter, but without worrying about tenths at a time.

Just frustration. The thing is, i think the meter boys get their side of shit. In fact i know they do.

I was just fed up with the 132nd PM ive gotten. And, i through it out. Im ok with my shit. I was just wondering if my thoughts where outta this world. Im seeing im not as alone as first suspect.

I suppose i said "daily" in the wrong context.

My point doesnt matter, i really didnt have one. Just wanted to bitch and moan a bit..... thats all.

Thanks all..

Do I chase numbers? No, Do I love to compete? Yes...Do I want to put up a good number?? Hell Yeah, Can I afford it? Hell No,

I'm tuned to 36hz for my daily ride.. It was never tested to put up a burp number is was tested to play music. Not much testing was done but we sure have a good starting point, 55+ on my daily driver
