Ritch40
just my .02 but, with the room you have, especially depending on what music you listen to, I think i would run those sealed and call it a wonderful day. 2 15's sealed with proper power will hit plenty hard
Ritch40
Here is a suggestion: I don't know your sub displacement so I just guessed lol While i do like your sketchup work i did spot a couple of potential issues. i have a feeling (based on research i have been doing as of late) that this might have a lot of port noise. According to research that i have been doing idealy port velocity needs to stay below 65ft/sec otherwise the port has potential to be noisey. the other being the -3db point is imho a touch high (i am certain due to op's dimensional limitations)
Nocturnus
And this is why I hate building ported boxes. I got a few friends pushing for me to try out an 18" sealed. And to be simplistic about it, I might just do sealed. http://www.posamp.rocks/stereo
Ritch40
sealed certainly is more simple. That said i do think musical taste does play a factor in what might work best for you. just as your system goals play a huge role in what type of box design will be best for you. Nocturnus
Also just realized.. Box is 33" across, subs take up 31.,5" if i make them touch. That is not a lot of space leftover for triming them in or anything. Just when I thought I had this figured out. http://www.posamp.rocks/stereo
Ritch40
Based on your vehicle specs, I personally think CJ's idea of 2 12's really would make life a ton easier on you.
Nocturnus
Yeah, I'd just like to do something I've not done before. Had a 21" long ago. Never done a 18" (that sounds wrong somehow). Guess I'm glad I didn't order the 15's. The great debate starts in my head now. 2 12's or 1 18. I need to kick back with some scotch. http://www.posamp.rocks/stereo
Ritch40
while i am certainly not the most knowledgeable person here, if i can help in any way id be happy to Enjoy the debate....lol
Nocturnus
I know, it sucks. I'm sitting at work debating.. 2 12, 2 15 (shoehorned in), and 1 18. http://www.posamp.rocks/stereo
Nocturnus
After all this, I really have 39:" across and not 33". No idea why I thought 33. So now I got like 39 across, 17-10 tall and deepest i can go is ~27 on the bottom and 24 on the top. http://www.posamp.rocks/stereo
