Aculous-2008 Dodge Magnum Build

Recommended Posts

Update 2/3/2015: Going in a new direction, bought a Orion XTR 475 and got the old school bug, going to try and piece together some more to make it a more old school build or just run old school power.

Still need to get the sound deadner/carpet rear panel situation worked out. Also I am going to start pulling panels to see how much room I have to work with.

Setup will be as follows:

HU: Alpine 9887 (En Route from Canadia)

Tweeters:
Front: SB Acoustics SB26ADC-C000-4

Sub: (2) American Bass XD844 8"

Subs will be in a Bill Fitzmaurice Autotuba eventually. First its going in a ported enclosure. I am going to try a couple designs. I also have a Stereo Integrity 15" I may play around with. I just bought bassbox pro and crossover pro so I thought I would actually use it.

Front Mids 4channel: Orion XTR 475

Curious how you are going to wire up tweets, mids, midbass, and subs on a 4 channel and a mono.

Alright so I lied a little. So Midbass and tweets are going to be on the 4ch. Mids I am going to run off the headunit. They are 20watts rms anyway so I figure 17 or so will be sufficient.

Alright so have the drivers are in. Still looking at sub amps. Found out the SI Sub is a dual 4ohm instead of the dual 2ohm I ordered.

So looks like I am going to have to run a more expensive amp. But I figure a 2ohm load is going to be easier on the amp anyway and less likelihood of issues in the future. (Never ran a sub at 1ohm....so theres that.

Wish the amp was significantly more expensive....would give me an excuse to run 2 15s :)

Talked to Soundqubed and DC Audio about amps. Looks at the droppinhz site too.

1 ohm isn't bad... it's below 1 ohm that you should be concerned...
