Phoenixman
so ive had four of my subs running at 1200rms but they can reach up to 1600rms. ive been trying to do research on having two different amps powering subs(ex: 2 subs from a 800rms at 2ohm and another powering two more subs at 900rms) i want to know what you guys think, i have the wire and everything for installing the amp just dont know if it would be safe using the one amp with just a little more power. thanks for the help

Karkov
Cancelation. and I would never do that either. Same amp, gain match and all *should* be good. different amps and different wattages and no no no no no It might not sound good, you would have two sub's excursion more than the other two and the sound might change, the peak frequency may be off a bit from 2 of them to the other 2. IDK man, I really don't know. 99.9% of people would never do this and you shouldn't either. Feel free to do whatever you want though. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq.
