Local deputy's firearm discharged in Wendys

Recommended Posts

So a little local news close to home. A Local off-duty Deputy's firearm discharged after his 2 yr old stuck his hand in his pocket..

.380 Keltec with no pocket holster.

Minor wounds to 3-4 people and the childs okay. Not facing any charges or work related punishments at this time.

Everybody loves a negligent discharge waiting for their baconator right?

im surprised the 2 yr old could pull the trigger on a keltec but even when pocket czrrying you need the appropriate holster. I hate negligence

Honestly, I don't understand WHY the officer didn't get charged with negligence. If it had been any of us not an LEO, we'd probably have a charge on us. Just saying, if it's a good enough standard to hold the common folk to, then an LEO should at least be able to meet it.

Sad. If that were anyone of us we would have gotten a charge for the firearm going off on top of a child endangerment charge. Like nate said im surprised that little of a kid could actually pull that trigger so quickly/easily, and yeah please holster properly, this is just more food for the anti gun trolls of the country.

That must have been a pretty big+fast 2 year old or a pretty short+dumb dad for the kid to be able to reach up, then down into his pocket, where the dad knows his gun is, grab a hold of it, and pull the trigger........

Seriously...I'm having trouble imagining how anyone, let alone an officer, could be that negligent.

Was the guy day dreaming? He didn't realize, let alone FEEL, the kid's hand going into his pocket, look down and see what the fuck was going on?

Edit: What the fuck is up with saying "discharged"? Come on, we all know the gun fired. Do they think that saying discharged means, something came out of the gun, we just don't want to say it was a bullet. I've seen news reports say that too many times.
