Warren Beckford
I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla. I'm considering walling it with 4 Skar Audio VVX 15's. Any comments? I'd hate to start with the wall and then it sounds like shit.
PolishThunder
There's not really much to say, do the build right and it could be loud. There's no real magic combo of subs and car that will be loud or not. Post potential box specs and amps and people could help you out but other than that I did a build in a corolla and all I have to say is they are tiny and a pain to build in but if done right i think it could have potential. I don't know box specs yet. But I'd probably start off with an sk2500 and then strap it in the future. I'm going to installer institue next year and I plan on learning about box building. From there I will see the specs. I just needed someone's opinion so I could either keep my mind on the wall or go with something else.
Hifonics
Build the shell first. That way you can tune it after you figure out what you have. 2010 F150 FX4-18" AA Mayhem-Crescendo BC3500d-Pioneer GM-D9500F 4-channel-2 Crescendo FT1 -2 Crescendo Neo Forte 6.5 -Pioneer AVH-P3300BT-6000K HID Headlights/Fog lights-All LED interior lighting-20% tint on front windows, 1% rear windows, 5% windshield strip-Big3 (XSFlex 0ga) -DC Power 270XP -Group 65 NorthStar AGM battery Coming soon/plans: -Build log-Blacked out mirror reflectors-Tinted tails/3rd brake light
SlamminBeats
if your already questioning it, it wont be loud enough.
Hifonics
Thing is, if you build the shell, you can just make a removable front baffle so you can adjust and try new things with it later. So basically if it's not loud enough, you can fix it. 2010 F150 FX4-18" AA Mayhem-Crescendo BC3500d-Pioneer GM-D9500F 4-channel-2 Crescendo FT1 -2 Crescendo Neo Forte 6.5 -Pioneer AVH-P3300BT-6000K HID Headlights/Fog lights-All LED interior lighting-20% tint on front windows, 1% rear windows, 5% windshield strip-Big3 (XSFlex 0ga) -DC Power 270XP -Group 65 NorthStar AGM battery Coming soon/plans: -Build log-Blacked out mirror reflectors-Tinted tails/3rd brake light
juan777
Installer Institute? I would just get a part time job at a shop or ask for an internship at a great shop in your area. But yes 4 15s in that little car should be fun. Trial & Error though. _paralyzed_
Be sure to consider your electrical needs before building a wall. There's nothing worse than having built a wall and realizing you don't have enough outlets. I put one every fifth stud.
