snafu
You only get one lol I did that all the time. I used to love to reach out to customers and get to the bottom of such problems. Tell us the story as I've forgotten the details! Hey, that happens when you get to be my age . . . n8ball2013
Well to finish my story. It was Tony C or Snafu as he is known here. He was calling me because that amp had been back for repair a few times and wanted to find out if it was something I was doing or insufficient electrical things like that. We had a good conversation and once he realized I wasn't running them off of 2 duracell AA's he told me that it must be an amp issue and they would swap the entire board out instead of repairing it again. It's pretty cool that a company like RF would take their time out to make sure that a guy like me was taken care of. After the amp came back I never had issues with it until I sold them off to run something bigger. snafu
Hmmm . . . that does sound like a familiar story now that I've heard it. Glad I was able to help you Nate! I once had customer service transfer a guy to me that had bought a Punch 800a4 new from an authorized dealer in like 1998 or so. [This was 2004 or 2005.] He had sent it back for repair like three different times with the same problem. When I got on the phone with him, he half expected that I was going to tell him to go pound sand. I listened to his story (all of it). When he finished, I asked him for his shipping address. He provided it and asked why. I told him, "Because I'm shipping you a brand new Punch P8004 to replace that one." He about fell out of his chair. I looked at it like - Hey, I don't want to get off the phone with this guy and have him have a bad taste in his mouth with Rockford Fosgate. After he got the amp and installed it, he was just elated. I wonder how many of his friends bought an RF amp after hearing that story. I think I broke just about every single rule Rockford had about three times. Now that I run my own business I do it the very same way. I worked there from 2002 - 2008. I think my all time favorite phone call I got from a consumer was when I emailed one "meade916" through the RF forum and asked him to give me a call. My phone rang shortly thereafter . . . 4 Quote Tony Candela - SMD Sales & Marketing Email me at [email protected] to learn about becoming an SMD Partner! MrSkippyJ
RF has always treated me well, even if they weren't actually doing anything but letting me spend my money on their product! Forest has taken care of me a couple times, I always know stuff will get taken care of when I talk to him!
