AstoSoup
An SSD will with no doubt be better than any hard drive. It's not just game load times, but with pixel rendering and texture quality SSDs help access that information much better allowing a more stable frame-rate with very low frame times. Well said^ Even if your CPU and RAM are rendering things quickly, the information will bottleneck with a HD not capable of high read/write times. Just think of it like this, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. Just like in car audio, you could have two, DC 5k amps and without a good electrical system, they will only distribute so much power. When upgrading one component, the rest must be upgraded to keep the whole unit strong. I know my analogies suck lol, but you get the drift! omg_spoon
Would I love to have a 1tb samsung. Fuck yeah! Its just not high on my list of shit to get. I need a big ass one cuz so many games. Would be a waste for me just to put OS on one. Is my opinion though. I know it would help. But I pull 100+frames in pretty much everything I play so the money to performance ratio isn't there for me. 98 Mustang GTSinger 3202 12" Incriminator Death Penalties1 SAZ-2500dv22 D3100,1 D34002 Crescendo CZ-65SAX-100.2Door panels by Diablo Kustomz

Jessica
well, i use an i5 3.0 and i can play a game like d3 at max settings, steam it at 720p 2800kbit and have my stream open and watch it no issue. i almost bought an amd, and i am a huge fan of amd. but after looking at benchmarks then actually reading some tests/reviews done with actual applications on both i found the i5 was more robust at raw number crunching. So if you want to do something other than play a game i would go intel. if you just want a stack of cores that second as a easy-bake oven go amd. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work. I know AMD run hotter but the FX series are much cooler. My CPU idles at around 65f on liquid and peaks at 85f. Never seen an FX go over 100f on air, in a case with good airflow. A lot of people are Intel fanatics but I bet they haven't used an FX series. Head Unit - Clarion VX709 7" DVD Touchscreen Mid/Highs - Front Doors - RF Prime 6.5" component mids. A. Krakin
I have an 8350, 290 and a EVO SSD. I do notice my CPU bottleneck quite a bit in large complicated scenes. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
