It's awesome how well a high mileage vehicle performs when properly maintained. /endthreadjack On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole. Hotdog
I did switch the truck over to full synthetic oil. A couple weeks ago I pulled the MAF out and throttle body out to give it a through cleaning. Also recently I put a new battery and starter in which are all normal wear and tear type things in my opinion anyway. Hotdog
One update for today. Got my Rockford Fosgate 1/0 Dual amp install kit. Moving forward a little at a time. I have more coming this week. When I picked this install kit up my first thought was, damn this is a heavy ass install kit. Hotdog
More items came in today. 12 gauge OFC speaker wire, 3" flared port and some Stinger 1/0 wire guides. But most importantly I got something really nice for a change. I was hesitant on spending the money on them but decided to get it done the way I really want it. Hertz HSK 165XL's Still have more stuff on the way. Will post more updates hopefully tomorrow on parts for the build. I would like to thank evermaxx for hooking me up with the Hertz HSK 165xl's. Hotdog
I cant wait to hear them either. Unfortunately I probably have another 2 months before I have everything I need to do the build. I suppose I could just get the doors done. I will have everything I need for that. Here is the 1/0 Stinger clips and the 12 gauge speaker wire And the flared port the came in (NEW) 2004 F-150 Build Log -->http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/192208-hotdogs-f-150-build-log/ 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Build Log --> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/114380-hotdogs-2003-mountaineer-build-log-20-removed/page__gopid__1602379#entry1602379 2008 Equinox Build Log --> http://www.stevemead...g/#entry1475764
audiofanaticz
Them are some nice components!
Hotdog
This is not only the most expensive door speakers I have ever bought but the fist set of components I will be installing. I imagine the difference between going from a Rockford Fosgate power 6x8 in the doors to these will be night and day. I am planing on powering them with a Fosgate Punch 800.2. Question: How do you DD-1 the amp when you have a lot of head room so you dont over power the components? I dont have a DD-1 yet but that is on my list to get next.
