sundownz
I measured a production v.2 and a newly re-built v.3 with the final compliance side-to-side with the same amount of play time (neither is fully broken-in). Just to compare... looks like we nailed the stiffness based on FS... and we see a drop in Qts due to the higher BL (also higher sensitivity) : BL^2/RE = 70.17 BL^2/RE = 85.78 ----- I don't trust the Woofer Tester as an "end all be all" of spec measurement either so don't read too far into it... but comparing on the same day back-to-back I can tell if my design goals are being met The spec on our web-site for the SA-8 v.2 was done with a Klippel machine after full break-in for reference. 1 Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]

sundownz
Nice! When is the new sd-8 coming out? I concentrated most on the SD-3 10" model; which is now complete and about to start production. I will likely do the 12" next; then the 8" last since it is changing the least in it's revision to SD-3 I don't have an ETA for it yet, though, as I still need to go through all of the development and tooling. The X-8 standard spider is more of an "SPL" type geometry. We could stack more together for your on a drop-in, though. Ajthasavage
Hey I had preordered 4 of these sa 8 and was wondering if they were close to being released. I had read already that you were planning for late march I believe but was wondering if everything is still in order or if there were any set backs? Definitely stoked to receive these bad boys!
