$250K Speakers "Approved by 2Chainz"

Recommended Posts

250k system in a room with no acoustic treatment. What a fucking joke.

You don't need to treat the room if the speaker design is correct for the application.

All you really need to know is the radiation patterns and the nodes and anti nodes of the room.

yeah it's the whole point to spending 1/4 mill on a system.

Maybe if you read my second post you would have seen how to do it with any speaker..

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

2Chainz had a 4.0 GPA in high school and college. And he played D1 basketball.

He is smarter than he comes off, which is my only justification why he could be employed by a pseudo prestigious company like GQ

As for the stereo, the same concept applies to all crazy expensive products. They are a way for the wealthy to have money in an insured form outside of a bank, while having bragging rights, exclusivity, and a great product.

I do computer work for an osteopathic surgeon. When he found out my dad and I did audio and hi fi home audio, he told us about his $250,000 living room setup. He doesn't have the time to learn how to build his own setup, or probably the desire. If he spent the time he would spend researching, building, and installing the entire setup on his operations, he would likely make more money than he would save.

Not everyone is like us and lives for the build.

It's also a completely different business model than most of the industry we deal with uses. Say they have $100,000 in each system. They have to make that $160,000 on the five they sell a year to keep operations in the black.

If they cost $5,000, they could sell it for $6,000 and just sell 800. Same end net financials. Essentially

All of that aside, I bet that guy wanted to die listening to "spend it" on such a piece of electrical art. I doubt the sale at the end was enough to make him not hate that entire day haha

Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. I build for Smiles Per Gallon not Miles Per Gallon LOLZ

I understand that. But for me, if I want good sound quality I'd rather have an anechoic chamber.
