Anyone ever return a battery under warranty?

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever dealt with XS Power's CS when returning a defective product? I returned my D975 that was floating @ 11.9V and would not take a charge. Battery was 2 years old, but was only used for a year.

XS Power has had my battery for almost 3 weeks now..

This is really holding up my build, and I am debating on dropping XS all together.

Any encouragement and morale boost would be greatly appreciated..

I emailed them 8 business days into it and asked what the deal was. I expressed my concern with the weather, my build, exc.

It wouldn't even take a 2.5A charge on my Ctek charger. I don't have a de-sulfation option on my charger if that even exists, or maybe its a myth. But the thing was shot, and was always on good electrical/wiring. I paid for shipping there. and I'm sure I'll have to pay for shipping back to me. Almost doesn't seem worth the headache anymore.

Few things for your knowledge. XS batts optimal charging is 15a per battery. With agm batteries if there to low, the charger won't sense enough internal resistance, there for showing a bad battery or one not taking a charge. Note that XS has a charger with a recovery mode. I promise those work. I've used them to recover 2 d3100s that was sitting for a prolonged time with a resting voltage of 6.2-6.6v. The recovery mode works like this. It dumps a constant 14.4v @1a to bring up the deep charge. Normally chargers like yours at 2.5a isn't constant it will bounce around.

well hopefully it should be cake for them to get it back to me. It still never should have been in the condition it was in. My electrical was past sufficient for what I am running.
