Got another naive question, a buddy of mine actually proposed this idea...

So I have a box for a 18" re sx d4 tuned to 32hz, I'm wanting more like 24-26hz. the port is just a simple slot port, he suggested adding onto the port and making it L off, would this in theory work?

believe half of what you see and none of what you hear lol.

first what gear to you have? amp and box pecs, and why so low?

a good 18 in a proper built and tuned box should have no issue playing to 24hz with a tune of 32hz.

odds are you have half the recommended air space for your sub and your port is choking the S out of your sub

thinking you have a far too large enclosure, with a far too small port.

I've heard about your build, OKC area right? Or Tulsa?
