khinds94
If i got the zv4 15 would it move enough on 2000 watts? i would just like to see the full potential on the new sub. I am not going to upgrade in a while until i get a new vehicle. So i want to make this purchase right. Im maybe thinking a second sub and second 2k amp in the future for 4k watts in an suv.i run my 2 zv4 15s on a saz3500dDoes 2k watts a sub make them move enough? I just hate showing woofers to people and they critizize it by saying oh man they are barely moving you need more power.I also like watching them move a lot. I just want the full potential of the subwoofer because I never spent so much on one sub. I was thinking putting it in the recommended enclosure 4.25 cubes with 68 sq inches of port tuned to 32. It will move... Trust me lol I got a zv4 12 on 2k. Remember it's rated at 1750... it just can take more Quote 03 Sable LS AA mayhem 12" D2 Sundown ZV4 12" D1 Tantric HD 12" D2 Tantric SHD 12" D1 Sundown X12 V2 D2 2.5 cu net Sundown 2000d @ 1 ohm XS Power XP2000 Sky High Sound Deadener Sky High wire Stock alt
CleanSierra
Judging subwoofer by movement(what you can see with your eyes)= fail. Last I checked, your ears don't have eyes. Put the sub in a correct box on RATED power, and it will sound just fine. It has a rating for a reason. Edited November 20, 2014 by CleanSierra Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Syphlyn
I have my zv4 12 on 2k. Does fine and gets loud. I originally wanted the X but went with the Zv4 12. Totalnoob
Oh OK good thanks guys I will buy the zv4 15. Now what is this about getting the x spider on the zv4? How exactly will it effect the sub? I'm thinking it will hit a little bit lower because it will be able to move more. How would I go about getting a zv4 with the x spider? Do I contact Jacob? mcfalcon
Yes. Sundown handbuilds woofers. I dont know their names but you can contact Sundown and they will build it however you need it. And I think in an earlier post they said you could ask them what they thought about that setup. mcfalcon
With that power I would do a zv4 and ask to have the X series spider put in to loosen it up some, but I would ask them to get their opinion. Obviously leave in the Zv4 coil though. Quote Still learning but have started gathering.
