I've been contemplating on re-doing the doors for my explorer in a similar fashion. My stock alt hates me But I just can't find any alts that fits my car , So Im recharging my batts every second week. The Neo Pro 8" is great! There are several combinations that should be much louder than subs and port up. not enough space to have to port backwards, and can't remove the seats or build the box higher then the backseats.
