basscherokee
building a box for my 2 hds212's and the site recommends 4-5 cubic feet for 2 12s. to my understanding this is net before port and woofer displacement? and for tuning it do i use the gross box volume for the port area or do i use the net? if anyone has any ideas my max dimensions a 36wx18hx20d if maybe someone could chime. im using torres and winisd for frequency response. plus what is a good tuning to stick around for the hds200s? from what i read they like 33-38 but does anyone have any experience with these? 2001 vw gti 2 hds212s 4.75 net tuned to 34hz audioque1200 wired to 1 ohm nvx 0 gauge to the back kinetic khc 2000 kenwood deck
Triticum Agricolam
Net volume is what you have left after you subtract port and woofer displacement. This is the number they are referring to and it is also the number you use to calculate tuning. I don't have experience with those SoundQubed subs but most folks say they like a little higher tuning, so like 35-36ish. basscherokee
or would this be better tuning and port length? 2001 vw gti 2 hds212s 4.75 net tuned to 34hz audioque1200 wired to 1 ohm nvx 0 gauge to the back kinetic khc 2000 kenwood deck
