kirill007
That's great, now we don't need to buy a DD-1 anymore, we can go back to the ear-o-meter. 1 Quote Thinking is the root of all problems... meade916
That's great, now we don't need to buy a DD-1 anymore, we can go back to the ear-o-meter. what about the deck? what about the x-overs, line drivers or EQ's that are before the amps? It's best to use a DD-1 with the speakers unhooked so you don't blow them up looking for distortion.....especially on the highs. What about gain overlaps? have fun doing all that by ear. 5 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! kirill007
I'm poking a little. But if I understand the video, that is the distortion measured at the speaker outputs. That's 1% THD at the speaker outputs, that all the distortion combined from source to speaker outputs on the amps. So if the line drivers aren't set properly you will hear it at about 1% distortion, if the EQ isn't set properly you will hear it at 1% distortion, and so on. I don't want to make a DD-1 vs whatever other method of gain setting thread out of this. Thanks Tony for this video. Quote Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for. Ahmed Johnson
Nice video. What Im curious is do all amps distort at the same time and under the same circumstances?
