meade916
Finally...the monitors i have been waiting for. 2560x1440 has been out already but none that were also 144hz. I didn't want to settle for 60hz...so i waited. Now they are out! I actually got one basically for free because i had so many American Express points saved up. Anyhow, 7680 x 1440 on 3 water cooled and overclocked GTX 780's. Only a few changes to my settings were required for BF4 and i am able to play between 110-140fps. On Assetto Corsa with almost everything maxed, i am doing 130fps (used to do 190 LOL). 130 is still good for a fast game like that on such a high resolution. Anyhow, so far i love these! 4 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong! SnowDrifter
That's real nice Hey if you're ever looking to squeeze a bit more oomph out of them it IS possible to overclock a display and allow it to operate at a higher refresh rate than it would normally. It takes a lot of tweaking and playing around though. Nvidia's control center provides a good means of doing this. FWIW I have my 60hz display running at 110hz Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
KMS
Damn, those monitors have a very thick grainy matte filter over them. How's the contrast compared to your previous samsungs? All I know is I saw a nice improvement in smoothness when I jumped to 110. I wonder what the cutoff point is where you can't tell the difference between frames Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

I wonder what the cutoff point is where you can't tell the difference between frames basically, if you have a 60hz monitor, you will want to find a way to overclock it (if you can). Not all monitors are capable. But if you already have monitors that are as fast as they need to be (for years to come), then no need. 1 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! #UD#
great choice on those monitors next step would be run them on G-Sync (same thing as Freesync) Via Display Port More info on G-Sync herehttp://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/g-sync Edited February 11, 2015 by #UD#
