Beefy
Alright well since I'm new to box design (and higher-end car audio at that) I need some advice and design on what route to take with my box design. The box will be in the back of my 2001 Navigator and its for 1 18" DC Lvl4. My Max hight is 20" and my max width is about 44" length isn't much of a factor. I would prefer the sub/slot port to be facing back and I want the tuning to be daily that hits hard across the whole band. Any/all advice on how to go about this as well as bracing/actual construction please chime in
SPL2K
You should be able to go 48 wide in a Navigator. 48 X 19T X 20D 17.5T X 5.0W X 16.0L Quote Michael Hughes = 6X SPL World Champion - Loudest on the planet in db Drag, USACi, and IASCA. By going 44 wide it just looks like a generic prefab thrown in the back. By "squeezing" it in and making it the correct width it will look like a custom box that was actually made for your vehicle. yes...but not anytime soon. Beefy
I dont know what Im gonna do w. the finishing yet. If anything I think i'm just gonna try to find some color matched carpeting because thats what accents alot of the interior pieces.
