Previously in this car I had two 12in Alpine SWR12d4's in a spec built box on a Soundqubed 2200.1 with Bullz Audio CCA wire and a single Optima Yellowtop 34-78series. Believe it or not that combo did a 146.xx(at 52hz). For the highs I have a JL Audio 360.4 on MBquart premium 5.25 front components and Memphis 5x7 2ways in the rear doors. Once I finish the sub stage I'm going to revisit the Mids and highs. Now going into the car now I have x2 Orion HCCA 12d4's on a DC Audio 3.5K(Dual 1/0 inputs) with SHCA 1/0 OFC wire. I'm keeping the Yellowtop in the front for a little longer and I'm going to change it out with a 51R XS power, but for now I'm trying to decide what I'm doing for rear batteries as I only have 7inches of height clearance in my spare tire well. The box I'm having built by Josh Wahlie of The CUSTOMBOXSHOP, its a kerf port box 38x17x17 tuned to 32-33hz. Any comments or constructive criticsm is appreciated. The only step I have left to figure out is my battery situation, there will not be an upgraded alt on this car until after I get everything together and playing. It was an additional $10 or $15 dollars to add the 45's so I just went with it, I mean they cant hurt? There is much beauty work Im gonna be doing upon install also. Just have the amp hooked up to the Yellowtop until my XSpower XP2000 batteries show up. I only have the gain set between about 30-40% and I'm quite happy with how loud its getting, if this setup doesn't do high 140's I might cry a little. Finding a spot on the firewall to drill a big enough hole for my grommet was an absolute pain. It fits under the security shade!! Small delivery from SHCA Its so ugly I'm ashamed. Countersunk some T-nuts into the MDF for the tire well floor and foamed the crap out of it. Temporary setup so that I could listen to it. Wrapped my false floor with black fleece. Nice and clean.
