Gotcha, you cant really see your metallic in that shot, my car has the tricoat white and I wish it was white like the interceptor's. Good job on the box so far, pretty cool idea.

Mmmmmm....look at that hourglass shape. Curves are so sexy.

And got most of the outside finished up...

Gonna be taking everything out in the morning so tomorrow we can do a test fit to make sure the box will actually slide in and then we can get the platform built for the box to sit on. I ordered the dark gray carpet for the trunk as well as the black suede this morning. That stuff should be here Monday.

It's in and it fits like a glove! Cannot be happier with the way it fits. Going to take very little to get it sealed off. Going to take a small strip of 3/4" across the top of the front edge to seal the top off. Still trying to figure out the best way to seal off the lower corners. We have a pretty good idea of how we are going to go about it. Me and the mad scientist are gonna whip up something pretty badass for the trunk too. Stay tuned!

So I feel like I made a good bit of progress today.

Last night I made a rough sketch of how I want the front of the box to look.

Port is completely filled and smoothed out. Laid out the port break and sprayed it just to get a general look of how it will end up.

Rebuilt the battery box and finished up the false floor. All of that is ready to wrap now. Got the holes for the box terminals cut. Still need to flush mount them. Plan it to completely resin the terminals into the box and make them smooth so all you see is the small recessed area.

All my wrap material should be here tomorrow. Unfortunately not going to be able to work on it til Sunday morning. I'm down to the little details now. It should all come together pretty quick once I get all my materials. Had to place another small order with Droppin' Hz and I'll have to wait on it, but they aren't necessities for the time being.

Lots of progress made today...

Got the box terminals flush mounted into the back of the box. Really happy with the way they turned out.

Got the false floor, battery box, and box platform all wrapped.

Battery box may get rewrapped. Not real happy with the way it turned out.

Got the seal plates made and test fit. Suede will be here in the morning for those. Everything fits nice and snug now. Still have to add a strip of wood across the top to seal the top off.

Tomorrow I'm going to work on finishing the port up and I will get the seal plates wrapped. Thinking about bedlining the middle section of the box and then wrapping the back and front in the digicamo I have the interior wrapped in.

Not a lot to update today. Got the seal plates wrapped. Port is painted. Leads on the subs are soldered. Back of the box is completely smooth now. Tomorrow the front and the back will get wrapped in the vinyl. Inside back wall might get wrapped as well. Gonna work on getting the outside of the box bedlined. And going to start rerunning the new OFC to the back.

Doesn't feel like I got a lot accomplished today, but I really did.

Front and back baffle got wrapped in the digi camo.

20160524_174510.jpg

Got the outside of the box sprayed in the bedliner/undercoating. It's not perfect. Pretty hard to get uniform coverage with that stuff.

20160524_181919.jpg

Also got my power run of OFC to the back ran, as well as got the power run from the secondary battery to the 550.2 ran. Everything is coming together pretty quickly. The inside back wall was also smoothed down and prepped for a piece of vinyl when we get to that point. There is still one small project we have to work on that we will have to throw some resin on the back wall and then it will have to be sanded back down before I can lay the vinyl.

Also, pretty stoked, I have a new amp on the way. Not telling what yet though.

So today, again, another day where I don't feel like I got much done. Think that it's mainly that I spend most of the day running wire and trying to get everything organized. Got the rest of my ground runs ran today and undid the rats nest I had. I'm as far now I the wiring as I can get until I get the amp rack built.

20160525_174617.jpg

Got my leads made so when it comes time to mount subs, everything will be ready. .

20160525_184628.jpg

And got my bolts mounted through the back wall so I can mount my amp rack.

I am very very close to being done. Amp rack is the only thing keeping me from throwing the box into the car. I'll have a new toy come in in the morning. There is a good chance I could have everything thrown together tomorrow.
