It sounded great and looked like the windshield was ready to pop out....and they only hooked up one amp. db_speakerbox Posted June 15, 2015 Report Share Posted June 15, 2015 It was hot for sure. I think there was a lot of confusion about the whole demo thing. It seems a lot people thought everyone had to demo at certain times for 30 min and that was it. Not the case, only a few people that had been designated with the sticker had to hold to that. Everyone else could demo all day. The layout was weird this year. It was so spread out and hard to get from one area to the next because of rails and ditches. I think we only gave out maybe 6 demos. MECHMAN Posted June 17, 2015 Report Share Posted June 17, 2015 The car played Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Probably demoed for over a hundred people during the weekend. When you build a system that large and that complicated, things happen. Most of the larger builds experienced equipment failures right before the show or during. It's a lot more difficult to get all that stuff together than you might think... Not to mention this was it's first show with less than half the equipment installed, and was a total rush job to even get it there. The 8K Taramp blew up on startup, and a phasing issue blew a woofer right off the bat. And as a vendor, we were strictly instructed to only play for a designated 30 minutes.
