XS Power

Recommended Posts

I recently sold off all of my xp3000s in favor of running banks of supercaps. I have 8 banks (soon to be 10) of 6 caps now so my max charging voltage is 16.2V.

I mostly compete in IASCA classes which require you to have a battery under the hood. So I can't totally ditch batteries but I want to charge a bit higher to squeeze as much out of my system as possible.

So my question to the XS crew is: can I run a d1400 daily under the hood but charge around 15.8v? Will this damage the battery over time or will I just see a little less performance out of it than if I were in the mid 16s?

Thanks for the reply, Hunter right? I was actually texting him about this earlier this week lol.

He has banks of 7 caps and is charging at 16.2. So a slightly different scenario.

Id like to avoid having to buy 10 more caps to run banks of 7 for now but if its my only option it'll just have to wait til next season :/
