They are rated 1500 RMS and perform very well as such. You don't NEED to have a billion watts for them to work well Chad Hicks did some testing on the proto and put 4500 watts on it for 30 seconds without issues: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...p;hl=nightshade So they CAN handle more than rated if necessary.
