I dont know if the rules are different where you stay at, but here, when we were looking into buying the house we have now, we didnt have any gfis either, but the inspector would not let the sale complete until every plug near a water source was gfi equipt, at the seller's expense. Here in Washington, home inspectors get butthurt about having gfi/gfci outlets!! Inspectors love the 120-page book from Labor and Industries here in WA!
