Yesterday I found a bunch of sand paper, so I will be hitting the inside of the box to get rid of the excess glue that us noobs took to long to whip off lol. Along with that, hopefully was can start the Baffle and get the power wire run today. Closer and closer we get to bumping! Sanded down all the inner dimensioned boards and applied a very thick (lol) of caulk tot he box. Getting ready Can't really see it on this. But I was COVERED. Today I the ports are supposed to be in. So we are going to figure out how we will configure the baffle as far as sub and port placement. We will also run the power wire to the back. I am going to Wisconsin this weekend so trying to get in as much as possible before the weekend. Want to try and get some bump on Friday. And damn, This is going to be TIGHT!!!!!! Like, super fucking tight hahaha. Check out a few pics. As you can see, ports are as far to the right as possible. The line the port is sitting next to, is a rough estimate of where the sub should sit when mounted. Oh boy this is going to be so close. Working on extending the direct leads. They will each go to a stainless steel bolt that will be on the back of the box, right near the connections for the amp. Today I am hoping to get the front baffle constructed, it started raining so I don't know about the power wire now. Went out and bought a router bit so we can hopefully completely flush mount the ports to this box. You will see what I am talking about. We are going to end up using my jig saw and making it cut 45* and sand it down ourselves to make it sit flush. But here is the basis of the Front baffle. Left big circle is cutout for flush mount of the sub. Inner holes on the right are the diameter of the ports. Then the outer ones to those are where I will make the cut at a 45* angle with my jig saw to start a round over. The ports are going to be close to one of the walls, and I think it might be best if 1 port was touching the wall instead of two. Plan on having the box assembly finished today, run the power wire, and set some deadening. So first thing in the morning, we can glue the box to the car for a solid hold, then start working on the sealing off portion the next week or so. The first cut you need to make precise, but after that just drop the router down lower and it follows the cut. Been working on it since 11am and an not stopping so far. Want to get the box fully finished tonight. Wire under the car is being ran right now. Want to leave the box over night to cure. Have it bassing tomorrow. I was going to run the wire under my h3 but decided to go through the firewall with it because the carpet had enough padding under it to hide the wires without bulging.
