babumazda3
That would probably be the issue with not getting the desired output. As to what is causing that, that's what you need to figure out. thats a stock HU? Are you using a LOC or does it have stock RCA outputs? This is an after market HU. It has stock RCA outputs. The amp is rocford fosgate and it comes with punch eq and other bass boost knobs. I don't want to use them as i've read some where they are bad. At the moment, with gain all the way up, the amp hardly moves the sub.
TRON
Head unit is dead if you have the subwoofer level as high as it goes and only get 0.2v out of it. Unless you are measuring that voltage THROUGH the RCAs. If that measurement is directly from the head unit, then its done, but if it's from the RCA's you might just have dead RCA's. rockFord_Expedition
You have to be able to supply the power it takes to make the power you want. Is your OEM electrical capable? babumazda3
i didnt make the measurement at the head unit out of fear of damaging the rca. I did the measurement from the RCA cables coming off from the head unit.
SIDE SHOW
if your rca's connected to the rca output of the headunit are bad, broken/cut, you wouldn't be able to tell if it's the headunit or the rca's at fault, check the rca output at the rear of the headunit
